Flodden Edge Farm is situated amongst quiet country lanes that offer scenic views and minimal traffic.   Easy access to bridleways

Rides out provide an opportunity to improve practical riding skill and develop confidence whilst enjoying the beautiful countryside in the Cheviot foothills on forward well schooled horses.  Riding is in an area of diversity: on wide expanses of heather moorland with hills and broad vistas, or on woodland tracks with splendid views.  We ordinarily sight roe deer,  red squirrels, fox, buzzards & wood peckers.

After an initial assessment you will be matched with a forward responsive horse to suit your ability, height and weight.  Our horses range from 12.2hh Welsh Section A to 17.3hh Heavy Hunters so we have something to suit everyone. 

Note: Rides out are for experienced riders only.  We never want to compromise the safety of our customers or horses.   You will therefore understand that if we don't know you and you've not had the likes of lessons here previously then there will be a short assessment prior to a ride out.

For the comfort and safety of our horses and customers maximum weight limitations are in place though we do have some horses to accommodate larger riders.
