A warm welcome awaits at our lovely Borders farm situated at historic Flodden Battlefield. Surrounded by splendid countryside in the Cheviots foothills with quiet country lanes, minimal traffic & easy access to off road riding.
We provide a range of facilities for riders & carriage drivers including self-catering & B&B accommodation & also holidays for horses.
The last great battle between the English and Scots took place at Flodden Field on 9th September 1513 and the army of King James IV (the last King to die in battle) set camp on land occupied by us. Legacy of the border conflicts are the many castles in the area; notably Etal, Ford, Floors, Alnwick, Norham, Lindisfarne & others.
We have a variety of well-schooled horses and ponies to match all riders and drivers. From ponies to heavy hunters and also light sports horses.
We specialise in classical riding techniques and qualified riding tuition is available for all ages and levels from absolute beginner to experienced competition riders. We can provide competent sympathetic tuition for all abilities and including those who have learning difficulties and physical disability.
We teach coachman style and specialise in horse driving trials (singles and pairs) and private driving. With over 40 years qualified experience as fei competitor, judge, trainer and commercial driver; including work for film and television. All lessons are one-to-one. Tuition is for all ages and levels. For those who are wheelchair users or semi-ambulent we have a Disabled Driving Association approved easy loading carriage.
We custom-build horse drawn carriages and undertake restoration and repair of quality carriages and offer customers the benefit of engineering expertise combined with 35 years experience in carriage driving for competition and commercially

With a traditional livery dressed coachman and grooms. We also provide a traditional landau carriage for weddings, film hire and special occasions
